Create Your Own Program
If you have a topic of special interest and want to share your knowledge, meet with the park naturalist to discuss and receive approval for this opportunity. A good venue at the park is the Kisrow Classroom in the campground. Saturday evening programs are a welcome addition to the camping weekend.
Lead a "Birding Hike"
Meet with the park naturalist and get approval to lead a birding hike--using some of the 15 miles of nature trails available in the park.
Lead a Full Moon Event
During the months of May through September, FOCW sponsors a Full Moon hike to the Dam Overlook and a Full Moon paddle on Chester Lake. These are scheduled on a weekend date that is closest to the full moon. If you would like to become a leader, come out and participate along with indicating your interest in leadership for these events.
Contact Park Manager, Tom Eckdahl to set up an appointment to explore your volunteer opportunities.
