Announcing two options to store your watercraft at Chester Woods in 2025

FOCW offers individuals the benefit of storing personal watercraft at the Chester Woods boat ramp.     

Below is the link to the document that we use for rental information.  The "Rental Agreement and Application" form outlines the program and responsibility of the owner for their personal watercraft. The "Rental Application" portion of the document  form (pages 3 - 5) should be printed one sided, filled out, and mailed or brought to Chester Woods Park if you would like to reserve a rack.  After July 1, any open slots rent for half price. 

Renters must fill out, date, sign and submit the application with full payment included. The renter may request a preferred space(s), but the park may not be able to accommodate the request. Any applications dated prior to January 1, 2025 will go into a random drawing for priority of assigning spaces. Once accepted and rack space is assigned, the renter will be notified by email of their assigned seasonal rack(s). 

Personal watercraft can be stored on our FOCW Personal storage racks at the boat ramp parking lot. The rental season is from April 1 to November 1. 

A rack rents for $100 for the season.

This option is what we have been offering for many years, and we will continue this. If you mail in your completed application prior to January 1, 2025, the racks will be assigned the first business day of January 2025 from a random draw. Applications received after January 1 will be processed by random draw on a weekly basis.

Starting in 2025, we are offering annual personal watercraft storage using the same racks by the boat ramp parking lot. The annual option allows the renter to store from April 1 to March 31. 

A rack rents for $150 per year.

The annual option also allows the renter to keep the same rack the following year when they reregister. If a different rack is desired the following year, the application returns to the random draw process.

Q: Why are we offering an annual storage option?

A: The park agreed to this option, and we have had requests for this in the past.

Q: Will my watercraft be stored on the same rack during the winter months?

A: Yes. We recommend putting a tarp around your watercraft, then securely locking your watercraft for the winter months.

Q: Does the park accept any responsibility for any damage to my watercraft?

A: No. Chester Woods Park, Olmsted County , and FOCW bear no responsibility to your personal property?
